Patriotism of Old

Allow me to start by stating my favorite movie channel is Turner Classic Movies. I enjoy watching old movies, especially the old war movies for WW1 and WW2. It reminds me of how patriotic we used to be, when our men and women went off to war, granted women were primarily nurses, but they were still in the war and fighting the best way they could. Gone are the days when Movie stars sold war bonds, before and/or after the movie, when stars like Eddie Albert, Don Adams, James Arness, James Stewart, and of course "the Duke" John Wayne who did his part helping in the USO, due to being 4f from chronic back pain was turned down to serve his country. Just to name a few, to see a list visit http://www.commonsensejunction.com/xtras/wwii-movie-stars/wwii-movie-stars-w.html . I have been watching a birthday tribute to Edward G. Robinson and the last movie that was on was "Destroyer" about the Naval 2nd Ship given this name for a true Patriot John Paul Jones. I am some what curious to know what exactly our Founding Fathers would think of how we have allowed the destruction of this wonderful country that the entrusted to us. However I am fairly certain they would be severely disappointed in us. We no longer have parades when our Service members come home from battle, we barely remember to say "thank you, for your service" to these brave and patriotic men and women. We even have people who protest our fallen heroes, the Constitution is for all Americans whether we agree with them or not, thankfully we do have patriots that stop these people from totally disrupting the funerals. If the Founding Fathers could see us now, with the apologist in the White House, would they have added more instructions for us in the Constitution? I don't care what race a man or woman is that has the job of President, but when a man like what we currently have in office, is tearing us down day by day, I am saddened by what we have become.
Also I have nothing against Immigrants, I just don't want Illegal Immigrants! Illegal means to break the law, if you want to live here come here the legal way, jump through the hoops, don't have anchor babies just you can stay illegally...I don't agree with the term of anchor babies, the law needs changed on that, a baby born here should only be considered an American Citizen if the parents are Americans or LEGAL Immigrants!

I apologize if my rant is slightly jumbled, however I don't apologize for my thoughts and feelings.

Mail Order Pharmacies

So to start out I am a Type 1 diabetic, I have to have 2 different types of insulin (1 I take 3 times a day, the other 1 time per day), needles, test strips, and lancets, not forgetting to mention...alcohol swabs, glucose tabs that I need/must have on hand. I now have a decent paying job that I do like most of the time that includes thankfully health insurance and prescription coverage.
My issue though is with the prescription coverage, it is primarily a mail order company so I supposedly get a break on my ongoing prescriptions, if I order a 3 month supply and have it shipped to me. I have used it once, they charged me $79.00 for a 3 month supply of my 24 hour acting insulin, if I have it filled at my regular pharmacy the first 3 refills are a total of less than $50.00. However due to it being perishable UPS will not leave it at my door; I work 8:30am - 5pm so how am I supposed to get my life sustaining medication if I am not home to receive it? I live in an apartment building and the other tenants in the building work all different hours, which means that I will have to try and get over to their building and pick it up, so much for convenience. I really dislike the idea of having to receive my medications via it being shipped or mailed. I prefer going to a brick and mortar business, especially a pharmacy. Granted getting a 3 month supply at once is better than a 1 month supply; so why do they make it so I can only get a 3 month supply at a time from them and not my brick and mortar pharmacy? Oh, that's right they would prefer me to not use a brick and mortar pharmacy, so they make it that my co-pay goes up every 3 months so I have to pay more and more for my insulin. It has now risen up to $120.71 for a 1 month supply, when it was $34.49 just last month. From them a 3 month supply is around $97.00. I then responded, ok transfer my prescription over from my brick and mortar to your company, I need to have it delivered and at my door by Wednesday, I was then informed; sorry Ms. Pike, it will take 11 days to transfer and then another 2 to 3 days to receive it. Considering I will be out by Thursday I will have to pay the $120.71 tomorrow.
